		<description>I do think we need meaningful whistleblower protection as too much of what we see in WBer cases indicates that the protections as applied are illusory.  Instead of retaliation, government agencies and supervisors might consider evaluating new and different ideas, if they think the guy's wrong then tell him why if they know why, and at worst end the matter with a courteous rejection.
